CONROE, TEXAS – August 14, 2014 – Pentair is pleased to announce that it has been awarded two large LNG filtration projects, both located in South Texas. 

The first project will utilize Pentair’s Polarex technology at a 100,000 barrel-per-day fractionator facility that will supply pure natural gas liquids to the petrochemical industry and heating markets. The Polarex process was selected by the client because of its smaller foot print and enhanced economics of operations.  Pentair partnered with both the plant operator and engineering and construction firm to design this section of the plant, which is scheduled to open by the end of 2015.   

The second project will employ Pentair’s LiquiSep technology for the separation of 185,000 BPD of propane and 300,000 BPD of butane.  Pentair is providing six liquid-liquid separators for this project, and start-up is scheduled for 2015.
